As ranked by The Economist Intelligence Units (EIU) Liveability index, Melbourne has landed the title of the second most liveable city in the world for the second year running for 2019. Each year 140 cities are ranked based on healthcare, education, infrastructure, stability, culture and environment. We scored top points in the healthcare, education and infrastructure category. Melbourne has been known for our vibrant arts scene and is often recognized as Australia’s cultural capital. Australia has also managed to land Sydney in third place and Adelaide in tenth place.
